Got bored, so I decided to see how much time there are between the first trailer and theatrical release for the past 3 Illumination releases.

Secret Life of Pets 2:
First Trailer: November 7, 2018
Release: May 24, 2019
Time: 198 days

Sing 2:

First Trailer: June 24, 2021
Release: December 22, 2021
Time: 181 days

Minions: The Rise of Gru:

First Trailer: February 5, 2020
First Release: July 3, 2020 (before it was moved due to COVID)
Time: 149 days

Next Trailer: March 30, 2022
Release: July 1, 2022
Time: 93 days

Averaging them out, we'd get 155~ days. If we exclude the second Minions trailer, we get an average of 176 days. Mario opens on April 7, 2023, which would mean November 3, 2022 or October 13, 2022 respectively assuming those trailer date averages hold true.

Illumination doesn't really seem to do any teasers either (apart from a Minions one that came 3 days before the first trailer), so I don't know how likely it is for them to do a full trailer when we're still 9-10 months out from release. I think a full trailer at the September Direct is more likely imo, with maybe a small teaser on the 29th but nothing is ever set in stone so this isn't gospel or anything.

Either way this was too much effort for something that isn't that important so ¯\(ツ)

Rui Costa > Luis Figo
The Rui Costa that 20 something Kaka put on the bench with two weeks playing for Milan? Luis Figo>>>>

Edit: just noticed I'm trying to transform this thread in a soccer thread. Sorry to all fellow portuguese members - you know how brazilians get when people start talking about soccer

I don't know any details about the FE remake, or what team(s) are involved with that project.

I only know information about the "New" FE game.
gotcha, but you are confident on the IS + Gust on visuals for the "new" game? Either way can't wait to hear more tomorrow, thanks again!
Well, FE Is probably a wild Beast to tackle for a journalist or an industry insider, lot of mixed information hard to dechiper. This Is the reason why I'm particullary grateful to Nate and Emily for sharing their insights. We shall wait and see.
yeah I can imagine, grateful to both for sharing their info

I wonder what the release timing will be for Fire Emblem. Nate said that "new" Fire Emblem will be out by FY 2023 (March), and that IS is making a remake. The idea that we could be getting three Fire Emblem games between now and the end of 2023 would be amazing. Don't know if it will happen, but regardless F.E fans are eating!

Im looking for good games to play to pass the time until the 29th. I remembered the E3 2021 Direct and I realize I havent even got around to Dread though. Is it worth playing as someone who hasnt played much Metroid?
Dread was my first Metroid game and now it's in my top 5 Switch games

Yes. I think it’s the best one to start with probably if you haven’t played a Metroid game. The EMMIs might be a little intense, but the mechanics and movement are so good that you’ll have a good time.

Maybe they want to have this direct near to the investor meeting, because they show something special like a Teaser to the Mario Movie, that they opened some new stores or Quality of Life (lol). To have a way in to talk about this stuff or that it isn‘t really ready yet, but they wanted at least talk about it in order to show their shareholders something with grow potential after the rather "disappointing" FY2022 numbers from last time.
But more likely it dosen‘t mean anything.

Direct opens with a big reveal

A Kojima stealth game based on Fred Jones

Has a 200 player mode

Releases February 29th, 2023 on Nintendo Switch MAX

See that soft part of the neck? Use any finger and apply semi-hard pressure diagonally down. It won't help you breathe 100%, but it does make it maybe like 20% better in most cases. The only problem is that you won't be able to keep applying pressure for too long because eventually it's going to hurt. So, release, take a break, and re-apply.

Bear in mind that this is for when you're having difficulty breathing and not for when you're having an actual I'm-going-to-die attack.

Additionally, if you live near the ocean, breathing in the ocean air also helps out a lot. I dunno why. Many nights when I couldn't sleep, because I couldn't breathe and I had that annoying whistling sound coming out of my lungs, my father would drive me to the pier to breathe in the ocean air and that helped each time.
If you are curious about why both things work:

The first one works because during a bronchoconstriction attack your bronchioli have a reduced diameter and therefore airflow is reduced, more air is retained inside the alveoli instead of flowing through the rest of the airway (reducing the internal pressure inside it and upstream of the obstruction) and when you add the increasing pleural pressure during exhalation, the equal pressure point (EPP) of the airway moves downstream from the bronchi towards the bronchioli causing the airway to collapse.
Ckck7PQ.jpg
The bronchioli don’t have cartilage so they are much more prone to collapse, while the bronchi do have cartilage and have better structural resistance.

By applying pressure in the trachea (or any other upstream part like the mouth or nose) you counter some (not all) of the bronchoconstricion using the same pressure-balance mechanisms and move the EPP upstream towards the bronchi.

And the second method works because the air near the sea has a higher concentration of salt (it’s hypertonic) and when inside your airway it pulls water out from your cells and reduces inflammation. It’s mechanism is similar to a nebulization using a hypertonic saline solution.

And of course, neither is a substitute for medical treatment.

What are the chances of DQHD game not being announced for Switch but only the current Gen consoles? (With MS paying a sack of monies to SE to release it on GP)
Do you mean DQIII HD-2D remake? Because if so I doubt it would skip the Switch since Team Asano is behind the project.

Is QOL still being developed? I thought Nintendo canned that years ago

SE brought almost all DQ games that skipped Nintendo hardware during the PS3/PS4 era early on Switch lifespan because they knew that it was there where DQ userbase would be and wanted to make sure it had support as early as possible. (As early as Switch launch there were reports in Japan about DQ fanbase buying the Switch)

DQ will not skip Switch until a new Nintendo console is out, SE has made an effort to make sure Switch can be the home of DQ. Another thing is them having mismanaged a lot of DQ projects so Switch hasn't been able to get the number of DQ games that a Japanese market leader has always got (bar PSX)

I'm surprised how dead the ResetEra thread is with all these rumors. Did I miss something?
Well, I'd assume it's because a large portion of the direct-speculation community migrated here, but idk because I haven't been on era since famiboards opened

I don't care that much about Prime 1 HD releasing this CY if it still makes it to the FY, this year is already stacked so waiting 1-2 months more is fine with me, but just seeing it oficially announced is already huge for me

If Prime isn't announced for this calendar year, I think the rest of my year looks like:

1) Earthbound
2) Star Fox 64
3) Finishing the final 2 bosses in XenoblaDE
4) Octo Expansion
5) Xenoblade 3
6) As Dusk Falls
7) Elden Ring
8) Splatoon 3
9) Bug Fables
10) Persona 5
11) Pentiment

This is a clever approach. I wonder if they'd want to premiere the trailer in a Direct? If so, your logic would indicate the September Direct is most likely

Is QOL still being developed? I thought Nintendo canned that years ago

They stated in their annual report in 2020 (page 17) that they are still working on it:
Nintendo said:
Moreover, we are working on the development of a new product that improves people’s QOL (Quality of Life) in
enjoyable ways
Though this is also already two years ago, we don't if this is still true today, but I think this is the last time we heard from QOL.

Edit: Wait they said something similar in the Annual Report of 2021 (page 17) too:
Nintendo said:
On top of these, Nintendo continues to engage in the development of various products and services for the future,
including new products that improve people’s QOL (Quality of Life) in enjoyable ways
I don't know how to interpret that quote and if we have already seen those products that "improve the quality of life" in form of some Games, but they really seem still working on something.

Looking at this list made me wonder what the Bug Fables people are up to. We need a sequel.

I not gonna post so much. But why you are trust Nate so much. Hé said there is a Banjo in development and MVG knows for sure it was in the Showcase.i dind't happen. Also hé knows about a DK game but nothing more then there is one development .the Switch pro hé was wrong, and about that Jrpg remake for PS4 hé was not 100 procent right. So maybe you much not trust everthing Nate had to say..But that's my personal opion. But everthing can say the things Nate said. But he have never more info to share. That's the weird thing about him. But i trust only the sources like Ton Henderson and Jason Schreier. They leak things but have most of the time more information.Nate tells only a game is development without more details.
You trust Jason Schreier??? He’s nothing to me after being wrong about the switch pro!!!

Edit: sorry for the double post, I couldn’t resist

Are they? I thought it was someone else.
Team Asano is a director/producer team they don't develop games per se, the games are outsourced to trusted SE partners. That's how they are able to work in multiple games at the same time

“DRAGON QUEST III in HD-2D” is now under development! Fusing pixel art with 3D graphics, this HD-2D remake is planned for simultaneous release on home consoles worldwide.
Release Date: TBA
Platforms: TBA
Developed by: Team Asano

Gotcha, I saw a different dev somewhere but now that makes sense if team asono just oversees everything.

Commas and paragraphs, are some things you should consider using.

Really.

The never said they knew Banjo would be in the showcase, they know it’s in development unsure when it would be revealed

Why is this post in Dutch for me? @bellydrum you have any idea? The quote in the other post is in English

2iQc60M.png

Chirby probably put it through a translator and then replaced the quoted text with the translation, lol. Original also shows in Dutch for me.
It was definitely English at one point (when I replied). So weird.

I'm thinking maybe I fucked it up by posting the Portugal - Holland Youtube video match? Maybe somehow that fucks with automatic translations or something.
